In my work I generally use metal and welding to create rustic looking characters interacting with objects of everyday life. This way I get a synthetic representation of common situations with a touch of the absurd and full of the existential connotation of the individual.
The level of performance in which the characters are immersed stands frozen, resembling a snapshot or a still from a movie.
I work in small format paying close attention to the stylized anatomy of the characters and sometimes play with the balance to perceptually reinforce the concept.
