Artist's Statement

“Overall I am obsessed with society and social issues, I try to express these ideas through different formats. The connection that links me to the community is the main issue. ”

In addition to maintaining his prolific artistic production since 1989 René has been a professor at the Institute of Fine Arts of Cuba (ISA), which he considers as an equal facet of his work, taking pride in having helped train many young Cuban artists.
